Gala Dinner

dinnerThe Gala Dinner will take place in Dublin Castle State Apartments on Thursday 25th June. The entrance to Dublin Castle is at Cork Hill (pedestrian and formal entrance) Gate, which is beside City Hall, Dame Street Dublin 2 and leads into the Upper Castle Yard - directly opposite The State Apartments where we will be waiting to welcome you.

We will meet you for a pre dinner drink followed by a dinner and entertainment showcasing the best of Irish.

Dublin Castle has been at the heart of Dublin life for centuries. Through the ages the Castle has undergone many changes, additions and restorations and has evolved into a wonderful Georgian quadrangle of buildings. Our dinner this evening will take place in the State Apartments, which dominate the south range of the Courtyard. Originally built as the residential and public quarters of the Viceregal Court, today the Apartments are the venue for Ireland's Presidencies of the European Union, Presidential inaugurations and prestigious events.

The starting time is 19.00. The dress code is Business Suit.

This region features the various types of scenery that make Ireland so beautiful; gentle hills, rugged mountains and a scenic coastline. In the heart of Wicklow is Glendalough (Gleann da Loch - The Valley of the two Lakes). It is an ancient monastic site, founded by St. Kevin in the 6th century.

You will also enjoy a stroll through Powerscourt Gardens-a magnificent example of aristocratic gardens from the 19th century, laid out with taste and imagination. The Italian gardens in terraces embellished with statues descending towards a pond, the Japanese gardens, and a pet cemetery are only a few highlights of this visit.
